16 oz can from Brewers Haven. Pale straw colored pour with small foamy head. Faint citrus aroma. Taste is also very subdued. Very light on the palate.

LOOK - super hazy of course, huge amounts of billowing foam, but retention is not so good for a hop packed brew - deep tan/yellow and nearly orange
SMELL - pine and earthiness - almost a vegetable / casserole aroma - some pine
TASTE - nice bitter bite up front and then a rush of hop flavor - short lifespan of sweetness and then the odd earthiness and asparagus casserole flavor comes in?? Fades out with some citrus, pine, and campfire
FEEL - decent medium body - carbonation sticks around and stays active
OVERALL - this one is a bit too earthy - but this is still a good brew - there are some odd flavors in there like they dug up the hop plant --roots and all-- and boiled them. There are some better Hazy IPAs out there and not sure that I would hit this one too often

Review #1428
Third beer from this brewery, the last two were enjoyable. On this website, it states this is American IPA, but the can says Hazy IPA. The beer is 44 degrees and served in a pint glass. The pour of the beer created a two-fingered head. The white foam is airy and frothy. The head slowly dissipated and left some lacing on the glass. The color of this beer is SRM 4, straw yellow with golden hues. This beer is quite hazy. I would have wanted a longer-lasting head.

Initial aromas in the beer are grapefruit, pine, and toasted malts. Nosing further, I smell oranges, mangos, bread, lemons, floral, herbal, and a touch of phenols.

The flavors of the beer are lemons, oranges, grapefruit, mangos, floral esters, bay leaves, phenols, bread, biscuits, dank, toasted malts, a hint of honey, and a skosh of phenols.

The mouthfeel of the beer is carbonated, astringent, and crisp.

The body of the beer is medium, medium carbonation, and a medium-plus finish.

This beer is closer to NEIPA, instead of American IPA. This beer is well made. Flavors in the beer are in harmony. The malt backbone is firm and holds the hops profile. There is this phenolic flavor in the background of the beer that is a touch off-putting. I do not think I would search this beer out again.

On draught at Frontier Brewing and Taproom.

Pours a cloudy yellow with a good head of foam and lacing.

Smells big pineapple, mango, quite fruity, hoppy with low bitterness.

The taste translates well from the same. Pineapple, mango, hoppy and a bit more bitter than the smell suggested. Delicious though.

Excellent medium mouthfeel.

Another winner in the series.

pineapple and guava in the latest offering in this hazy series. it seems less fruity than some of the ones before it have, like the hops match up well with these fruits, even give off similar aromas and flavors, and thus there seems to be better integration here. not overly hazy and very pale, almost whitewashed looking to me, with a good head from the pint can and nice lace as i sip it down. it smells real tropical and fresh, sliced citrus and kiwi fruit to me, some mosaic hops likely, maybe an el dorado too, or something with a bit of a ripe melon complexion. i could never pick out guava here, but maybe pineapple if i thought about it. i like the dryness, the lack of bitterness, and the easy of drinkability, this is well dosed in both hops and fruit, and the ingredient match is excellent. somehow there is an almost berry taste in the middle of this, carried on by soft, even maybe raw wheat, i like the grain base of this a lot, its earthy and flavorful without any sweetness, and it has some pillowy body smoothing the whole thing out. i like it better and better as it warms, and so does my homie i shared the can with. nice with spicy food, and probably excellent as a morning beer as this seems so fruit juicy, even if the fruits arent readily identifiable, i almost prefer it that way in an ipa like this i think. i am liking roadhouse these days, especially in the hoppy styles. this series has been cool!
