A special collaboration with Creature Comforts.
A hazy IPA made for beer geeks. This beer is made using Cosmic Punch yeast which allows for access to biotransformation of thiol precursors. This promotes more tropical and citrus aromas in your beer that wouldn't normally come through.

Bought locally. Canned March 7th but kept in fridge entire time.
It pours a hazy yellow with a finger of foam, nice lacing.
The smell is grapefruit citrus, tropical fruit, a little grass, a little fruity.
The taste is tropical fruit, maybe some pine, bitter, dank, bitter finish.
Medium bodied, perhaps a little too much carbonation.
Good collaboration with Creature Comforts.

I tried this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight whilst in Jackson, Wyoming during a family vacation to the Tetons and Yellowstone. The beer poured a hazy golden with white head that left some lace. The scent had grain and citrus notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with crisp semi sweet malt base with citrus peel presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

good to see some new roadhouse flavors showing up, feel like they have been on a little hiatus, at least here in boise, and i have no doubt in my mind there are cool hop varietals i this new hazy, but the beer just didnt totally hit for me, like its not as well refined as their best stuff in this space, even if its unique enough to stand out from the crowd, sometimes thats not enough on its own. very pale beer, whitewashed looking straw color with an average white head from the tap and enough haziness to feel sort of dense when i drink it, short of gritty, but not by much, full bodied without any real flavor or texture benefit, full if protein, dry at least, but weirdly proportioned to me. the nose is distinct, and the flavor of the hops is nice, yellow peach, lemongrass, and something even more herbal, maybe dill, would like to know which hops are in play here, but they save this for me, otherwise its just a big starchy belly filler. the ferment isnt quite clean either, i get a little strangeness to it as this warms, even a little alcohol heat too which is weird, and some light green hop burn, a tad oversaturated, but not forced or gross. this just isnt as well executed overall as i have come to expect from these guys, and while im sure some folks will love it, for me it just missed on quality a little bit, even though i dig the hops. will try this again if i see it in cans, sometimes with hazy ones that happens on tap for whatever reason...
