the latest in their kush series, another excellent and very modern ipa here, hazy but light, robustly hoppy but hardly bitter at all, and just extremely drinkable, rather unique in a samey space too, this impressed the heck out of me this weekend. sunny yellow color in the glass with a uniform and gentle looking haziness that does not make it any less bright. a tall white head from the keg rests effortlessly on top. aroma and flavor suggest a contemporary mix of hops, could be some citra, but also elements of strata, cashmere, even newer stuff like talus, not sure what they use, but i have no doubt this is built on the latest and greatest, whatever they are. not so up front and intense that it plays like cryo, but it definitely starts early, fruity, and immaculately fresh. papaya and meyer lemon, fresh coconut and key lime, tangy citrus and cut flowers, its so vibrant and springy and delicate for being so distinct and bold, love it. the grain is real light, no starchy weight to this from the haze at all, and a very tidy fermentation profile, taking this all the way to dry but without hardly any yeast flavor, impressive. some minerals underneath the hops, a lighter than medium body, and just the faintest bitterness on the swallow, dry as they come. notes of peach and green grape come out as it warms but its not estery or anything, super clean. overall this was killer, hope they package it because i will definitely be buying some cans if they do. this is fantastic beer, on the cutting edge but real sessionable, awesome!
