16oz can from Boise Co-op. Clear, pale golden pour, foamy white head lasts for quite a bit, lacing. Hoppy aroma, resinous, pine, citrus. Taste is hoppy, sticky, resiny, light pine. Mouth coating with some lingering bitterness.

I saw this available when I hopped on a bar stool at my favorite Taphouse. I rarely get a sample; some days, I regret that decision, but not that day. Hunter's Frost was on. On the first sip, I knew they had created a delightful IPA. A few more pints later, I purchased a can. I am using an IPA and serving the beer. The pour produced a frothy, foamy, three-fingered, white head with average retention. The somewhat slow dissipation left chunks of lacing on the glass. The color is straw yellow with light golden hues, charting at SRM 2, and clear with some carbonation. The appearance of this beer is above average, with a voluminous head.
Nosing the beer, I smell resins, bay leaves, pine needles, peaches, pears, grassy lemons, oranges, honeysuckle, white wine musk, and a hint of papaya. The malt profile is lightly toasted and bready, with a light sweetness. The other aroma I notice is phenolic yeastiness.
Sipping the beer, I taste herbal pine needles, peaches, apples, honeysuckle grassy, dew, lemons, oranges, white wine musk, resin, earthiness, and strawberries. The malt backbone is firm with lightly toasted malts, bready, and a subtle sweetness. The phenolic yeastiness is noticeable.
The mouthfeel is astringent, finishing crisp. The body is medium and has medium carbonation.
The beer uses an experimental hop, Pink, which adds dimension to a complex profile. The beer is labeled a WCIPA; it straddles the line between that and NWIPA. I enjoyed sipping this beer at the Taphouse and still enjoying it tonight.

Another new hop here: Pink 158 Experimental Hops from Idaho.
Pours a clear amber with abundant foam in the Saxo wine-style glass. This is really full of fruity hop flavors but not overly juiced up. Bright flavors in the nectarine and grape realm with some orange peel. Moderate bitter aftertaste and moderate acidity. Crisp and lively on the tongue. Overall this is a most interesting hoppy brew and well worth trying. I"ll have to go back for another one. From the 16 oz can dated 12.12.24.
