Served at the brewpub in a Pilsner glass.
Look: Dark brown, with a 1” tan head with excellent retention and plenty of lacing.
Nose: Sweet dark roast, pleasant dried fruit.
Attack: Initially malt, plum, and dried fruit — full flavored at first.
Finish: The attack faded into I’m not sure what — not much of anything.
Mouthfeel: Medium, adequate carbonation.
Overall: I really like the attack, then … not quite so much. This is quite drinkable, and thirst-quenching. While not outstanding, I could certainly drink it again.
