Very smooth, very dark porter with a foamy, dark-tan head.

Smooth, somewhat chewy texture, fairly sweet - didn't get much bitterness to balance. The Good Hop, Oakland CA, March 2017

L: Pitch black with a creamy tan head and no lacing on the glass.
S: Bitter earthy coffee, notes of dark chocolate and molasses sweetness, a little bit of vanilla.
T: Bitter earthy coffee, a little bit of peat, dark chocolate, a sweet molasses at the end and some light vanilla, but the vanilla is less noticeable than all of the other ingredients.
F: Medium body (i expected the body to be fuller on this), low carbonation and creamy smooth drinking.
O: This is an average beer, I expected a little bit better mouthfeel and little less sweetness.

WOW! I think I just feel in love. This beer is everything that one could ever want in a porter AND with oats to boot. Very subtle bitterness and almost all malt. Pours very dark, almost stout like. Creaminess on the finish.

Pours two fingers of tan head on a black body.
The aroma is roasted and toasted malt and black coffee.
The taste is dark molasses, dark chocolate, black coffee and vanilla.
The texture is medium.
It's deep and dark. A great porter.

Pours pitch black with a beautiful creamy tan head. Milk and dark chocolate with some vanilla and roast in the nose. Taste follows the nose closely with roast and lots of vanilla. A little lactose like sweetness leads into a nice roasty bitterness. A very enjoyable porter more on the English side than robust.

From a bottle bought at Beercraft (Rohnert Park, CA).
Black color with no head, minimal mocha lacing. Typical Porter nose, thick on the tongue. Solid porter taste, with a bit of sweetness. Not much of an aftertaste.
