Reddish brown with a hint of haze, and a little number of slow rising bubbles. Topped with 4 fingers of cappuccino brown head. Great head retention.

Smells of very bright citrus and pine, with a lot of solid maltiness. Autumn leaves all over.

Citrus, pine and pink bubblegum all over. A solid sweetness and a fair amount of pine resin.

Medium light, cool aid like body, and medium low carbonation.

Solid with a few inconsistencies as far as overall smoothness and flow of the beer. I could drink it a lot, just not outstanding. Found in Redding, CA at Safeway, and drank in Redding the same day, Sept 16th, 2016.

L: Somewhat murky amber mahogany/ruby red color. With a small creamy tan head and no lacing on the glass.

S: Earthy, pine needles, caramel, and toffee, notes of purple grapes, some stone fruits, alcohol is noticeable for a beer of this abv. A complex smelling beer. It reminds me of a lighter version of a barleywine.

T: Caramel and toffee, dark stone fruits, notes of purple grapes, pine needles and a strong piney bitterness. Not overly sweet but a good sweetness. Alcohol is a little more noticeable than expected for a beer of this abv. Once again reminds me of a lighter version of a barleywine.

F: Creamy thick body.

O: A really nice beer. It has a good mix of malt and hops. Reminds me of a lighter version of a barleywine. Very tasty.

7.5% ABV per the label.

Pours a murky copper with a foamy tan head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt, caramel, earth, and pine needle aromas. Taste is much the same with candied citrus zest, grapefruit juice, caramel, earth, and pine needle flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a nice mix of caramel, citrus, and pine needle all around.

Serving type: bottle.

Pours a short head on a clear, but dark straw colored body.
The aroma has some pine, tropical fruits and wet grain. Really nice.
The taste is big and bold. Huge malt, but the sweetness kept in balance by the load of hops.
The texture is thick but crisp with moderate carbonation.
An excellent brew.

Served on tap into a shaker glass.

A- Poured a clear red color with off-white frothy head that left chunky lace.

S- Big juicy red apple, pungent citrus and piney hops, toffee, and caramel notes.

T- Lots of big juicy red apple, toffee, and caramel malt notes balanced out with a huge pungent grapefruit and piney hop presence.

M- Smooth, prickly carbonation, semi-dry finish, full bodied, and light warming.

O- This is an incredible imperial red ale with moderate bitterness and huge malt and hop character.

New brewery in Redding. Figured I had better leave some reviews for the beers I tried. Out of the three I had, this one was my favorite.

Appearance: slightly hazy, deep red hue. Beer had about a one finger, white creamy head that left decent lacing in the glass.

Smell: malty. There was also a slight smell of floral hops and a bit of citrus, but a very malty nose. Bready, with some caramel as well.

Taste: taste followed nose. Big malt flavor, with a decent hop wallop. Very sessionable for a 7+% alcohol beer. Caramel malts mixed with doughy bread flavors. A good pint.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied and pleasant.

Overall: A good beer from Reddings new Brewery. I enjoyed this pint.
