Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a murky red to brown sort of color with a film of a little white head. Barely any lace. The aroma had a blend of sweet cherries and cocoa powder. Light dough on the back end. The flavor brought out some of the tartness from the cherries to blend with the cocoa powder and sweet parts of the cherries. Not much of an aftertaste but a semi-sticky dry cocoa powder finish was there. The feel was just a touch under medium bodied with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Mild carbonation. ABV felt fine. Overall, pretty nice brown ale keeping the arena of brown ales a bit different. I’d have again.
