Pours a clear yellow color with a medium white head on top. Has a very hoppy smell. Taste has a strong hop flavor along with a tropical fruit and malty finish.

One finger of off-white froth quickly yields to become a rocky blanket with a thick ring. Fine carbonation slowly migrates up from the nucleation site of a Strangebird IIPA glass. Lace curtains adorn the glass above the clear, rich amber beer (SRM 4-6).
Malt forward and sweet with caramel and tea. The hops are spicy and resinous.
Opens with earthy bitterness, and tea tannins form a backbone of malt. Earthy hope spread out from the middle to the end. The finish is long and modest.
Alcohol is as expected. It has a stiff canvas texture, modest carbonation, and light astringency.
This is an old-school IPA, solid and reliable. It will pair well with nachos and football.
