A:Dark black in color with creamy tan head.

S: Apple brandy, oak, and coffee.

T: creamy with coffee and dark roasted grain, nice oak and vanilla with coffee finish.

M: Medium body with moderate carbonation, and a smooth cream texture.

O: Overall very good, the bourbon aging definitely adds to this stout, that being said the base beer is good, but not astounding.

Looks dark red, amber when held to light. Black otherwise. Smells very strong! Not a pleasant smell, sort of like over dehydrated malt. Tastes very alcoholic, which it should for a 10.4 abv beer, but also overly malty and sort of syrupy. I usually like Imperial Stouts but I think this one missed the mark a bit.

Poured on tap in a shaker pint, the beer is jet black, with a low profile, tan colored head. Aromas of roasted coffee, subtle chocolate, and cream highlights. Flavors are heavily roasted forward, with a balanced blend of bitter roasted coffee and bittersweet chocolate, highlighted by solid lactose characteristics. Smooth, dry bodied, with a milk chocolate and roasted aftertaste. Smooth, slow finish. Good beer.
