You may have had our Pocahoptas IPA, but not like this. We’ve tasted the hottest peppers in the world to find one that would pair great with Pocahoptas. We decided on the Trinidad 7 pot . The 7 Pot Pepper originates from the nation of Trinidad. It is one of the world’s hottest peppers. The name was given because one pepper is claimed to be hot enough to flavor seven pots of stew. The pepper adds fruity and nutty tones that balance with the grapefruit citrus and floral aromas of Pocapotas. This is followed by a slight burst of heat from the peppers naturally high capsacin content. Come by and warm up with some Pepperhoptas.

On tap:
Wonderfully clear copper orange with a sustaining head that supplies minimal lacing.
Nose isn't giving me much and has a little hint of butter. But what I do get is a generic sweet tropical note with a citrus bitterness.
The flavor is a decent IPA at its base. Little tropical sweet, though where the bitterness normally grabs hold, the pepper comes in. I usually like a little vegetation in my pepper beers, but the heat is the main sensation here. It's a building heat, also, which I like for feel in my chile pepper beer.
Enjoyable, maybe leans a little hot, and relies a little too much on the heat, to be critical. Despite that, I had an enjoyably experience on this review date.

On tap at Brew Gastropub - Bellgrade. A small batch of Pocahoptas with Trinidad 7-pot chili peppers. The flavor of the chili peppers is very prevalent however there is not a dominating amount of heat. Different, not bad
