A: This poured a translucent dark cherry with some quickly dissipating light tan head.
S: It smelled like sweet nougat and nutty toffee, with some vanilla and milk chocolate and toasted coconut and oak.
T: It tasted like sweet nougat and vanilla and milk chocolate, with some nutty toffee and dates and toasted coconut and oak. It had a clean and sweet aftertaste with some alcohol warming.
M: It was thick with moderate carbonation. Big chewy body.
D: This was a fantastic brew with well integrated and delicious scent and taste. It had a great body and a smooth finish, with just a little heat. So it was easy enough to drink, but should be sipped. Could possibly improve with some age. What a lovely drink. Recommended.

2016. Poured from a bomber into a snifter, the beer is a deep, dark, vibrant, ruby-caramel coloring, with a thin, wispy, halo of off-white head. Aromas of vanilla, toffee, molasses, roasted caramel, thistle, booze, and earthy highlights. Very rich and sweet nose. Flavors are rich and boozy forward, heavy on toffee and caramel, with smoky and roasted overtones, vanilla highlights, charred wood, earthy notes, and a tangy sweet and slightly bitter blend at the end of the palate. Slick, oily, and big in mouth, with a boozy, richly sweet, caramel and vanilla aftertaste. Solid warmth building as you drink. The finish is slick, slow, and with a solid cloying linger. Decent warmth linger, too. Good beer.
