The beer pours a nice off white and slightly brown head that dissipates very quickly. The beer itself is a dark chocolate dark brown such that it looks black.

The smell is okay. It has a light chocolate and oatmeal note with some light spices but there isn't much else.

The taste is okay. It some baking spices and a bit of oatmeal with some chocolate but not much.

The feel is tolerable. It has a fairly thin body for the style and super tingling carbonation.

Overall, this beer was a tolerable porter but not an oatmeal raisin one. It wasn't very sweet and a bit thin but still overall drinkable and could be enjoyed to an extent.

Poured from a canninto a small stemmed tulip.

A - Pours clear brown with a nice three finger fluffy tan head. Some legging on the glass.

MF - No body, thin and watery, which throws off the beer’s balance.

T - Burnt bitterness, not malty, cinnamon (out of balance with other ingredients), with the alcohol showing through as somewhat antiseptic.

S - Aroma is lacking and limited to some baking spices but no maltiness, no roasted maltiness.

Yes, it kind of tastes like an oatmeal cookie but a damn bad one. This beer is a mess. A drain pour for me.

Poured moderately hard from a can into a snifter glass, forming a finger of fizzy tan head that soon faded to a thin ring of lacing. Deep brown color. Smell is pretty normal for a porter, maybe a bit sweet. Taste does have a hint of oatmeal cookie at the beginning, but quickly faded to an average malty porter. Light to medium bodied with a moderate fizzy carbonation. An okay porter, but I'm pretty sure I paid $5 for a 16 oz can. Definitely not worth it.

It’s actually a very nice porter but there was nothing to suggest oatmeal raisin cookie. If it was just sold as a straight forward poster it would actually be very good.

A: Black in color with only the scantest ring of tan head.

S: Light caramel and bread notes as well as cinnamon.

T: Caramel, roasted malts, cinnamon, and a touch of oats.

M: Medium in body with lower carbonation although a touch of a bite in the finish.

O: Overall as a porter it is pretty passable, but as a gimmick it falls flat. There is a bit of the oatmeal cookie in there, but not enough for the gimmick to work.

From the bottom of the can: "IN ORBIT ON 01/22/19"

Appearance: The beer has a black body and a very short khaki head that quickly fades out to a thin ring, then to a flat sheet of black glass over the surface. It isn't much to look at in a glass given the lack of head.

Aroma: There is a very light aroma of roasted grains and burnt caramel.

Taste: The beer has a light flavor of coffee and a bit of burnt sugar character. The aftertaste has a touch of cinnamon.

Mouthfeel: It has a medium body and light carbonation. There is a light bitterness to the beer.

Overall: It tastes like your average American Porter and it is pretty good aside from the fact that it has no head. The name of the beer makes it sound like it is supposed to taste like oatmeal raisin cookies, which it doesn't. Overall it's good enough to drink if you're looking for a decent American Porter but don't be fooled by the name. I probably wouldn't drink it again.
