Poured into a 16 oz. goblet. A gorgeous, deep golden color. Very little head, and what there was didn’t last long. Very little visual evidence of carbonation. An unusually strong smell of malted barley and Saaz hops. I could actually smell it at arms length in the bottle before I poured it! Taste is very sweet with a hint of sour after the swallow. I kept waiting for that strong hop bitterness that my nose detected earlier, but it was subtle and came on gradually. More complex than the better-known Czech pilsners that I’m used to drinking. Soft carbonation. Smooth, with a heavier body than I expected. Not very bitter, but what there is stays with you a long time. There’s a thick, buttery feel on the tongue long after the glass is empty. I’ve always loved Czech pilsners and I think I’ll be calling this one my favorite, at least for now. Easy drinking but with some complexity as well!

appearance - 4/5 - Pours with a small stark white head. It's color is read-through transparent golden. The head disappears quickly.

smell - 3/5 - Smells of dough and earthy hops.

taste - 3.5/5 - Very bready and earthy hoppy. It's just like the smell but magnified. The hops have kind of a floral & earthy spiciness.

mouthfeel - 4/5 - A little high on the carbonation, but not too much. Hops flavor lingers and coats the mouth.

overall - 4/5 - Not a bad pilsener that is well supported by it's hops. Not the best Czech beer I've had and not the worst.

A: Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with a thin white head. The head dissipates quickly leaving a thin ring of bubbles around the edges of the glass. The beer contains lots of particulates and had moderate amounts of lacing.

S: Aromas of bready malts with grassy hops and the slightest hint of skunkiness. As the beer warmed, there were also hints of honey and lemon.

T: Flavors were nice and malty - primarily bready malts with just a hint of bitterness on the finish from the grassy hops.

M: Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

O: Easy to drink and quite sessionable, I enjoyed this one and will likely have it again. It paired very nicely with some spicy food (hot wings) because of the resfreshing flavor.

11.1oz bottle poured into a pint glass.

Appearance is a slightly hazy light gold. A white head is quick to fade leaving a ring around the top of the beer. No lacing at all.

Smell is kind of dirty. Grassy hops are present but above that is an odd malt scent that is not quite caramel or roasted but just smells like dirt.

The flavor continues this odd caramel/roasted/dirty malt flavor along with the grassy hops. The beer is a little too sweet and the bitterness not quite enough. Mouthfeel is good, though.

Overall a somewhat lackluster example of a czech pils. I doubt I will get it again.

Appearance - Pours a pale golden color with a small head that disappears quickly. This beer is unfiltered.

Smell - Not much to the smell.. kinda skunky and like grass.

Taste - It also tastes pretty skunky. I can't really point out any other flavors. Mostly floral. A slight bitter aftertaste.

Mouthfeel - Medium body with light carbonation.

Overall - I like this beer. It's nothing out of the ordinary but it tastes good.

Medium white head quickly settles into a decent lacing above a clear honey golden colored beer.

Big skunky sour aroma.

A big sour hops taste, seems like a lot of beers that come in green bottles are very much like this, sour aroma, sour taste, and sour aftertaste.

Same ol' green bottle beer, I go get something in a brown bottle if you don't mind.
