My wife and I joined a couple of our friends for a dinner that Church Street was putting on one Friday night, and we both decided to have 3 beers each (Church Street's per person limit). This was the first of the beers that I ordered. This dunkel is a reddish brown amber in color and is clear with a slightly creamy head that dissipates moderately fast to a thin lacing. There is light carbonation easily visible. 3.75/5 The aroma is very bready with notes of toasted wheat bread, caramel, and raw grains. It is a bit herbal and grassy on the underside but the aroma remains quite sweet. 3.75/5 As with the aroma, the flavor is quite sweet but in a grainy, not sugary, way. Caramel, toasted wheat bread, and a slight bit of dark stone fruit are pervasive throughout the profile and lead into a grassy and herbal combination on the back end that features light bitterness that does not linger for long on the palate. 3.75/5 This is a light bodied lager that features a light carbonation burn on the front end but this quickly goes away and leads into a wet and coating mouthfeel with no drying. 4/5 This is a very good dunkel lager that stays true to style and is very thirst quenching. This one can easily be imbibed with or without food. 3.75/5

Aroma: bread crust and caramel and toffee. A light spice aroma in background probably from hops.
Appearance: pours a deep copper with red highlights. Light tan head with light haze.
Flavor: caramel, bread crusts, toffee and light Umami. Hint of lemon or spice must be hops poking their way through the bold malt. Malt and spice flavors linger for minutes after swallow. Suttle bitterness adds to the complexity. One of my favorite dunkels.
Mouthfeel: Medium full body with light warmth.
Overall Impression: A favorite go to for a lighter malty beer.

Bobs is just alright, and that's good enough for me. Served at Bedrocks in Shorewood, IL I was surprised to find this brew with no reviews. Alot of lemon flavor in it.
