On tap. Poured a very light color for a porter. A murky, light brown with a white head of foam. It smelled of vanilla, bourbon, oak and chocolate. Nice blend of chocolate & vanilla with a boozy, bourbon finish.

Weirdest looking porter I've had, it looks like muddy water

Porter with caramel and vanilla beans.
Definitely the lightest colored porter I've had. Honestly tastes like straight up bourbon, if bourbon was extremely low in alcohol content. Vanilla is upfront and caramel has a nice back end flavor along with some nice dark chocolate/burnt coffee undertones. Barrel is also very upfront, but in this case I like it, even though I normally don't.
Overall, I really enjoyed this. Color threw me off, but it tastes really good, especially on a cold Chicago evening.
