16oz can. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It left sticky rings of lace on the glass. It smelled of smoked malt, coffee, toffee, dark chocolate and caramel. Nice roasted/smokey taste with coffee, caramel and toffee.

Light mahogany brown, seemingly opaque, billowing tan head cratered with large bubbles. Smells like autolysed yeast, soy sauce and whoppers. Chocolate sauce umami. Mmm-mmm. Tastes a bit better, some initial sweetness that becomes dry and roasty towards the end. Char and dark chocolate, chocolate-flavored baked goods in the aftertaste. Malted milk ball burps. Medium bodied, the sweetness keeps me from really drinking it in any quantity. Still, it's not bad just lacks the dryness and creamy texture that I like in a baltic porter.

"A collaboration between Church Street Brewing Company and Illuminated Brew Works. This beer starts out like a lager with a roasty caramel flavour that follows into a smooth finish. It drinks like a clean Porter with just enough kick to keep you interested. Cheers!"
16oz can poured into a chalice shows a dark, opaque, mahogany brown body that barely keeps afloat a whispy island of white bubbles leaving erratic spotted lacing.
Roasted malt dominates both the aroma and flavor. Hidden 9.5% as there is at best some chest warmth. Really nice.
Smooth and clean, medium feel.
Overall a stellar example of the style.
