Had on tap. Midnight black pour with a tan cap. Aromas of bourbon, dark chocolate, wet earth, roasted malt and a hint of dark oak. Taste has boozy barrel bite but is not complex, underlying stout stars with roasted malt, earth, dark chocolate, big char, and a hint of leathery dark fruit. Feel is boozy and roasted, medium-heavy bodied, highly drinkable even with the appropriate bite. Thought the barrel bonded better in the nose, where in the taste it was just kind of there, welcomed but not as integrated. Still a nice BA RIS that actually lets the style through
