Collaboration with Roaring Table Brewing Company
This malt-forward export-strength Lager starts out with a grainy malt flavor that’s quickly followed by the hoppy floral character of the noble hops, which balance out nicely to provide a smooth yet crisply refreshing beer.

20oz draft pour at Roaring Table into a dimpled mug shows a bright, clear gold body floating a 1/2" head of fluffy white bubbles that slowly falls to a thin cap and ring leaving random spots.
Aroma is slightly grassy with a metallic mineral note over a bit of biscuit malt.
Taste matches with just enough heft to match a crispness for a nice combination. This gives me a Special Export reminder: not the skunky, back of the cooler, forgotten bottles but a nice fresh, clean, malty, bitey mineral beer.
Overall a pleasure.

Poured from a freshness dated 16 oz. can: deep and clear golden with a fluffy white head that slowly receded leaving some intricate lacing. The appearance was right on the mark.
As with the Dortmunder style, there is a malty and perfumy aroma that dominates.
The body is certainly on target with a slightly thick mouthfeel and a solid kiss of malt complemented by gentle hops. As this beer is past its prime, the lager is slightly too sweet but still very flavorful. I believe fresh at the source this would be an excellent example of a Dortmunder lager.

Had on tap. Pour clear golden with visible carbonation leading to a two finger tall white head, decent lacing as we go down the glass. Tastes of grassy old world hops, cracker, mineral water, and honeycomb. Nose is simpler with general dortmunder attributes. Feel is medium bodied and crisp, decently clean with a hop kiss.
