A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with just a narrow collar of off white bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of bourbon are present in the nose along with notes of dark malts, chocolate, and espresso beans, the latter of which becomes stronger as the beer warms up.
T: The taste has flavors of espresso along with strong notes of bourbon and hints of dark and chocolate malts.
M: It feels a bit more than medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I thought that the taste of this beer had a nice balance between flavors of bourbon and espresso. It also hid its alcohol rather well.

22 ounce bottle into a snifter. Had 2/9/19.
Pours near black and opaque, thick looking, with no head and no lacing. Aromas of bourbon, medium roast malt, chocolate, coffee, cocoa, malted milk balls, some vanilla, light char. The flavor follows along, with bourbon, malt, coffee, chocolate, malted milk balls, some caramel. Smooth, a very good full body, well carbonated.
A very well executed beer. Nothing stands out and above, but the great aromas and flavors blend seamlessly. The barrels are prominent, but don’t overwhelm. A really enjoyable sipper.

Viscous and thick black pour with no head. Smell is the winning combo of dark chocolate, espresso, and bourbon, though bourbon is certainly the lightest detected of this triumvirate. This is true with taste too, but the espresso and dark chocolate, beautifully guide the subtle fig, vanilla, and molasses. Feel is a little thin for a RIS, but very smooth and heavy in weight. Yummy flavors though not the most deep beer
