Modeled after a Chai Masala tea, this bourbon barrel-aged spicy ale is reminiscent of a holiday ale.

Dark reddish amber, a finger of tan foam lasts momentarily. No lace, glassy still surface.
Aroma is spiced, more like a holiday cookie with nutmeg, dates, and ginger.
Taste is rich and mirrors the holiday cookie profile of the nose, maybe some clove and cardamom lending some phenolics. Boozy, bourbon soaked, sticky and malty, full bodied. Low carbonation, sticky with some sweetness and fruity esters. Overall it’s pretty good, maybe a touch more carb and dryness, but it’s an enjoyable late winter sipper.
