Dark brown pour, black in the glass with a momentary head of mocha tinged foam. It fizzles away quickly due to the high abv, but rekindles briefly with each pour.
Huge coffee aroma, rich and roasty, fudgy with toasted vanilla marshmallow in the periphery.
Rich flavors, the Sumatra coffee is huge. The sheer intensity eminds me of Black Cat BCS from back in the day, nice since we’ll likely never see it again. Boozy, whiskey barrel-soaked coffee beans, rich coffee and bitter dark chocolate linger into the aftertaste, along with some toasted marshmallow along for the ride.
Big, but not syrupy or too heavy. Medium bodied, light carbonation, very sippable. Reminds me of the strongest espresso shot you can get. Very intense, but a coffee lovers dream. Perkolator is also a great coffee shop in Portage Park, assume this is a collab, but nothing mentioned on the label.
