Appearance: Pours a clear, pale color with a massive white head. SRM of 7. (4.00)
Aroma: Moderate aromas upfront of fruit including citrus and orchardfruit. I'm getting pear, pineapple, green apple, some citrus. Minimal funk. A sweet aroma on the finish. (4.00)
Flavor: The flavor follows with more sweet pear, pineapple, slight citrus and green apple. Some brett yeast is detectable in the middle, before it finishes with a fruit juice finish. A sweet finish. (4.00)
Feel: Medium bodied. Strong carbonation, but ultimately a sweet finish on the palate. Alcohol is minimal. (3.75)
Overall: This was a very enjoyable beer and showcases the Claussenii yeast strain very well. I haven't had a whole lot of this strain, but supposedly it gives a pineapple and tropical fruit flavor with notes of hay. I definitely can get the pineapple in this one. Sweet and probably covers up the alcohol. Minimal funk as expected for this strain. I liked this one, and maybe the best of the pack so far. (Rating: 3.98)
