I was at Point Clear, AL for work but had some spare time to a bit of exploring. Based on some recommendations from the BA forums and locals, I went to Fairhope Brewery for a very enjoyable afternoon session.

As you enter the large curved bar is directly in front of you. There are also a bunch of tables to sit at. The tables appear to be made of reconditioned/repurposed wood. They are substantial and attractive.

There is also some outdoor tables and cool garage style doors that they can open. The tanks are visible behind the bar. There are a couple of TVs so you can catch a game. The vibe of the décor is light industrial.

The service was top notch! They were friendly, funny and free with samples. This is what you hope for when you visit a tap room.

They had (I think) 11 house beers and a house cider on tap. They also offer bottles and crowlers for takeaway. I liked everything I had. Beers range in style from sours to a polish smoked wheat, to IPA, APA, a coffee stout (made with locally roasted beans) and a Belgian Quad. You should be easily able to find something to suit your fancy.

No food but I don’t think they would have any issues with you brining some in.

This was a great stop and one I can really recommend.

V- Mellow, very small town vibe. Nice and quite for a good quite evening.
Q- Very top notch look wise. Maybe a bit too dark and mellow though.
S-Service was top notch, but it also wasn't very busy.
Selection- Very good selection. Had plenty of brews and plenty of brews to try.

It was a slow night and the bama game was on, so I'm sure the place is usually busier. Had a fun time, it was a quality place too.

The place has a nice rustic feel with lots of wood.

The service is excellent - informed and friendly. The server was very informed and honest where her knowledge was wanting with a willingness to ask someone with more knowledge. An excellent place with some great beer on tap.

Great Brewery. Great vibe. Always great service. Ehhh... scratch that... 99.9% great service. High quality beer. Selection has consistently gotten better over time, and it will only continue to improve now that they have expanded. The current 3.88/5 rating is appallingly low. FBC is a real treat that has been desperately needed on the Gulf Coast.

These guys are doing it right. I'm looking forward to bottles, but in the meantime, they are down to earth guys who make great beer and remember your face. I make sure to stop by every time I'm in Mobile.

Came by on Black Friday when my family and I were in town for Thanksgiving. With it being Black Friday they had special black beers on tap and had a randall set up on their Black IPA and did several different infusions. The environment was nice. The bar and taproom had a rustic feel to it and they had a large projections screen up for that were showing college football games. Customer service was great and I sampled all of their year around beers and all of their seasonals/specials. You can get samples for $3 a piece which might sound like a lot for each sample but they are very large glasses to be considered samples.

Very long bar with the brewing equipment behind glass in front of you. 6-taps available. Tasting of 5 for $15. Nice stuff overall. Nothing really pushing the envelope too much, at least the day I was there. I know they rotate things out a good bit though. For such a spacious place, I wouldn't mind more than 6 taps. But I could always deal with more anywhere I am.

Service was good. As usual, I am here to try beer and chill; don't want to be hounded.

This spot will do quite well for itself. I see them bottling and/or canning within 2-3 years and being a force of brewing in Southern Alabama (there really is no competition that is going to get in their way).

It's BYOF and no growler fills available on-site.

I always go back to FBC mainly because its the only brewery in souther Alabama but I also go back because of the customer service. FBC continually surprises me by opening their taproom for guest pretty much any time of the day, they just want to serve good beer and chat. Today they went above and beyond and not only opened the taproom but let me sample some new beer before they kegged it.

Dan Murphy and the Fairhope Brewing Company should be very proud. Most of the Alchemy Tavern Staff went over on Monday Feburary 4th and sampled all of the beers and some a couple of times. We had the Everyday Ale 3.8% ABV, Section St. Wheat 5.0% ABV, Fairhope 51 Pale Ale 5.8% ABV, and my personal favorite the Painted Black IPA 7.0% ABV. They were priced at $5 each, which is a great price for such high quality and fresh brews. Every beer I had was a perfect example of the style that it was and could be put against any other brewer in the country. We look forward to having available at Alchemy in the future!
