Dark brown. Rich & robust nose, showing huge scents of vanilla and chocolate, as well as a touch of bourbon and coffee. Flavor is full and rounded, creamy and well texturized, full of a wide depth of rich malts, giving notes of chocolate, pit fruit and roast, along with a hint of vanilla and cream. Creamy mouthfeel. The second awesome stout from this great brewery.

Hawks Super Natural Porter stands out for its unique succession of tastes that arrive at different moments for variable durations. An initial wave of caramel malts is followed closely by a crisp wash of an almost anise-like root cellar spiciness that defines the broader palate. A vast roastiness invigorates the finish while the aftertaste has a long tail and lingers with a gentle smoky aftereffect.
The brew itself is dark chestnut with a tall head and black licorice aroma. It is a noteworthy, pleasurable, smooth, unique and all-around satisfying porter.

Pours deep deep brown with a fluffy tan head. Doesn't leave much lace. Smells of roasted malt with a hint of sweetness. Malty upfront, then glides into a bitter sweet finish. The roasted malt settles in as it sits on my tongue. Thick, but not too thick. Overall a great porter. I will certainly try another in the future.

According to the bottle, this stuff is brewed in 3 barrel batches, then bottled and capped by HAND. Whatever. Its not bad. It pours extremely dark, with just a faint reddish hue and a creamy tan head. Both the smell and taste is slightly sweet, with a nicely roasted, milky, coffee-ish feel. Unfortunately, it felt a bit 'thin' to me, and overall left me wanting just a bit more 'oomph'. I'd buy it again over many other brews - and the small batch size certainly makes it unique -- but I'm not sure that I'd go out of my way to seek it out.

Ok purchases from the local Organic food place in town.
Comes in the plain brown bomber..simple screen printed label.
Very good looking beer poured into my dimpled Imperial pint mug, mahogany brown with reddish accents..a great thick creamy tan coloured head..very well done.
Nice aroma of burnt malts,,milky..fresh.
Nice taste too..starts nice and creamy smooth malty....then a big burnt oat falvour followed by a good noticable bitterness..very good.
Very nice on the palte smooth at first then 'adventurous".
A nice drinkable porter..nice for the winter months.

Dark black color. Medium white foamy head. Aroma is chocolate. A medium bodied porter. Malts are choclately, with hints of vanilla and dark fruit. Touch of hop spiciness. Flavors are mainly the chocolate and roasted malts. Very smooth. Nicely balanced. Nice porter. Etched/painted bottle. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
