32oz growler from Beer'd. Pours a hazy brownish orange color with an inch plus of thick white head. Lots of lacing. The aroma is a hoppy medley. Grapefruit rind, citrus, pine and some spicy hops and dank hops. The taste mirrors the aroma. Pine, grapefruit rind and citrus at first followed up by some spicy hops. Light malt backbone with a fair amount of warming alcohol. Finishes with bitter grapefruit rind. Lots of carbonation. The first Wet Hop Entry by Beer'd is a winner.

Beautiful beer: big, off-white cream head with great retention and fantastic lacing. Brew is a hazy, translucent orange.
Big hoppy aroma, featuring citrus and tropical fruit: grapefruit pulp and peel, mango and pineapple, slight pepper, and mandarin orange. Little malt presence to speak of.
Much sweeter up front than the aroma hints at, with waves and waves of hops coming across. Starts off with juicy tropical fruit (pineapple, mango); follows that with sharper, tarter citrus (grapefruit, peel); and finishes back with tropical, tobacco, slight pepper, and a bit of resin. Very earthy and green throughout. Barely a hint of biscuit and pale malt; just enough to support the hops.
Very nice, lively, strong mouthfeel; medium overall. Sticky retention, but it doesn't slip into syrupy territory. Semi-dry finish with a kiss of peel, washing your palate in preparation for the next sip.
This is another excellent DIPA by Beer'd, and a great foray into the world of wet hop beers.

Beer just released this weekend. It's a wet hopped double IPA, hops from Long Island hence the name.
To be fair this review is based off of a tasting at the brewery, had 2 of them. This was my 2nd favorite of the 5 samples offered that day. It was okay but I went home with a growler of 8 days a week.
The brew was well crafted, looked and smelled about average. Very drinkable with good mouthfeel. The only let down was the taste. It didn't have much taste at all. Not a bad taste just a lack of it.
