64oz growler. Pours a translucent amber color with an inch of head. Fruity aroma of berries, pear, and green apple. Some minty hops as well. The taste is more of the berries and stone fruits. Cherry and raspberries with some more pear and apple. Biscuity malts towards the end with a bit more berry and herbal hops. Very drinkable with a slightly dry mouthfeel. Nice blend of the Mosaic and El Dorado hops. Works well. Overall, really good Pale Ale.

 

 

Howler purchased on 1/17/15 and served in a tulip. Pours a burnt orange hue with a slightly hazy clarity and a loose, quarter inch, bright white head. Nose is fairly subdued - primarily biscuity with a suggestion of tangerine. As the beer warms, I also get some berry notes. Taste follows nose with the addition of a light, earthy bitterness towards the back. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body (but closer to light) with a crisp carbonation. Overall, a bit too much on the maltier side of the style for my sensibilities and the hops profile doesn't do too much for the overall effect. Definitely worth a try, however.
