Sampling a cellar temp pounder can purchased at the brewery. The can is poured into my snifter and gives a clear copper hue with fluffy bleached white head of 3 cm foaming up. The foam is settling slowly in the center of the glass and leaving windowpane lattice on the sides of my glass. Several streams of bubbles rise to the surface.
The aroma of the beer is evident immediately upon the can top opening with some dank musty resin notes, a bit of pine sap and some grapefruit rind. Maybe a little biscuity or caramel malt in the background.
First sip reveals a smooth textured average body with fine rolling carbonation.
The flavor is a brief piece of caramel and then rolls to all hops with pine sap and resin some grapefruit rind and a dose of aspirin astringency that lingers on the finish. The beer also has a fairly dry finish which makes me want to take another sip. I never get any hint of the alcohol in this beer and find it drinks very easily. Glad I got to try this one after my visit to the brewery. Always a good spot to check out!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
