Collaboration with Sixpoint
Imperial Stout Brewed With Almonds, Toasted Coconut, Vanilla Beans, Lactose and Cocoa Nibs.
We teamed up with the crew at Sixpoint to dream up this candy bar inspired ale. We’ll steer clear of any infringement letters by leaving the brand out, but we bet you can infer it after your first sip. Cheers and Stay Toasty!

Huge head that overflows the glass. It settles to a miniature dome of suds and leaves a large number of small spots on the glass as it recedes. The liquid while dark brown still allows light to shine through.
Darker cocoa aroma, like unsweetened hot chocolate. Light coconut and perhaps some vanilla.
The flavor mimics the smell. Richer than many Stouts but also with a higher carbonation level. Longer aftertaste of cold cocoa. No coffee or black patent malt present.

Fine, opaque black body topped with a thick, spongy head; great lacing and sheets of foam inside the glass. Mild dark grain aroma with a touch of cocoa and vanilla on the nose. Rich malt flavor; mild chocolate and cocoa; vanilla sweetness; mild to moderate bitterness. Thick and silky mouthfeel; rich residual sugar presence.
A very tasty imperial stout with some judicious adjuncts adding depth and complexity to the whole. Smooth and luscious, rich and satisfying.

Excellent head production, very nice retention, and good lacing.
A lot of cola on the nose from the first pour, but as it sits and warms, nuttier and more cereal-like notes emerge. Caramel, toffee, chocolate, prune, almond, toasted coconut, molasses.
Similar expression on the palate: rich and dark, with a growing sweetness throughout the sip. It never quite reaches candy bar levels of sweetness, but I think it does qualify as a dessert stout - although the mouthfeel is a touch thin for a pastry stout, in my opinion. Initial third is almost a traditional roasty stout, with notes of espresso, mild char, toast, toffee, and prune; by the middle, the sweetness starts to grow, as does the char and nuttiness; by the back third, the chocolate has really emerged, along with the almonds and coconut, while the vanilla grows to a crest on the very back end.
Relatively creamy and full mouth feel, but it falls well short of chewy.
This is an excellent and tasty beer. Beer'd's cask treatments really take it to another level, but it all starts with a good base beer.

Sampling a cellar temp 16 oz can pouring into my snifter. The beer is a gift from my pal @schuee.
Pours a dark cola brown color with no light passing through my glass. A fluffy beige head of 3.5 inches foams up even with gentle pour. The foam fades slowly leaving some dense lacing on the sides of my glass. Foam remains as a sturdy edge layer and large island on the surface of my beer.
Aroma of this brew is kind of on the sweeter side. I get some roasted malt, dark cocoa notes and some coconut. I dont get any real vanilla notes and the booze is hidden and hops absent. Seems about right based on the style and label. Aroma is a little more mild than anticipated overall.
First sip reveals an average body with very fine carbonation. The bubbles gently roll across my palate and makes for a pleasant drinking experience. The texture is smooth and this beer drinks pretty easy for a bigger stout.
FLavor is what I expect based on the nose. I get roasted malt and dark chocolate, mixing with some hints of coconut and a bit of brown sugar. This finishes with a nice roasted note that lingers a bit after each swallow. Again I dont really get the vanilla here and the hops and booze dont show up.
This is a tasty brew and not too cloyingly sweet like some similar stouts. Nice brew that is worth the grab.

On tap at 2 Bros. Pours a pitch black color with 2 inches of frothy light brown head. Lots of lacing. Aromas of coconut, cocoa, roasted malts, brown sugar and espresso. The taste is coconut, cocoa powder, vanilla, espresso, earth and roasted malts. Boozey with a heavy mouthfeel and lots of carbonation.
