Had on tap. Pours opaque, dark brown in color with 1/4 inch head. Taste is cocoa, roasted malt, and tobacco. Medium-heavy bodied, sweet/roasty, with low carbonation. Makes for a tasty and multi-layered porter. One I would get again, but not one that pushes the style limits. Good overall beer.

Poured from a half growler bought at the brewery 1/4/15 into a pint glass. ABV of my batch was 6.1%.
I was pleasantly surprised by the complexity of this porter since I don't see any other Porter's in their line-up. A little thinner than I like, but we'll balanced. Loads of roasted coffee and dark chocolate on the nose with a mimicking flavor. It's very easy drinking. Not much smoke to speak of. Definitely something to check out if you stop by the brewery.

Pours a deep mahogany with a semi-translucent clarity and a loose, light-tan head that dissipates into a soapy slick. Nose expresses coffee and a hint of lactose and artificial sweetener. Taste expresses some char, dark chocolate and coffee. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body (but closer to light); however, the carbonation is a bit too assertive for the style. Overall, a solid porter with quite a bit of flavor.
