The colour is amber-orange (20 EBC); the liquid is somewhat hazy. The low head disappears quickly with a fizzing sound. No lacing.
The smell is sweet and malty with some green plants and white port wine. Fruity, hoppy notes with notes of pear and green bananas. Some alcohol, too.
The taste is smooth with notable clean alcohol and semi-sweet malty flavours. Hints of raisins and mature red apples. Rye crispbread and prunes. Medium to full body. Some salty notes in the aftertaste, even more alcohol (+ solvents) and dried fruits. The short finish got notes of green plants, some bitterness and fruity alcohol.
The carbonation is light, the small bubbles smooth. The liquid is a bit light and dry.
Too much raw alcohol in this one makes it an unbalanced brew.

A: Pour is slightly hazy orange with a small and compact white head. Decent lacings.
S: Quite some alcohol, a bit rough and unbalanced. Fruit and malt, caramell.
T: Follows the nose, still unbalanced. The malt is a bit stronger though. The fruit is more "clear" than in the smell; apricot, peaches and red apples, but an off-taste of marzipan kind of ruins it. Some dark dried fruits in the back.
M: Warming and quite alcoholic. Body is full and smooth, but also a bit rough. Aftertaste is short and sweet. Low carbonation.
O: Well, this is unbalanced and rough. I think that a couple of years of proper cellaring would improve this one a lot - too bad they had to put it on the market before it was done...
