Lovely color but closer to hefeweizen copper than straw pils, cloudy to near the point of opacity, salvaged by a beautiful almost finger of finely bubbled ivory head. Funky nose, a bit of grass and banana and apricot, pleasant but not the freshest smell. Lively mouthfeel, foamy but not cloying, intrudes before I can get a proper taste. I get light cereal and toast flavors, more yellow fruits but thoroughly dry, with something corianderish. Is this pils or wit? (Fortunately I like wit.) Only a faint bitterness comes in at the end, along with a bit of copper in the aftertaste, not my favorite expression of some hops. I'm enjoying it but not as an exemplar of the style.
