Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a glossy burnt yellow to orange color, some cloudiness but not too much. Quickly dissolving semi-foamy head with bubbles. No lace.
The aroma definitely speaks of mango flesh and skin - full and semi-juicy, some "wax"/crayon notes and some grassy hops. Touch of lemon pith on the back end.
The flavor leaned towards the sour side initially but developed a keen balance of tart and sweet mango as it warmed. Not much of an aftertaste but somewhat mango flesh.
The mouthfeel was almost medium bodied but seemed to be just shy and somewhat below. Good enough carbonation and mild sour finish with mango puree' and a touch of cream.
Overall, only thing that seemed a bit "off" was the aroma, I didn't care for that 'waxy/crayon' thing going on but honestly this was good enough to come back to.

I reviewed this beer quite early in my craft beer days, this might’ve been the first beer I ever fell in love with. I’ve had it quite consistently since then. In the beginning of my beer journey, I set aside a few beers to cellar before I really knew which beers were best for aging. This was one of them. The subsequent batches since the original have been good, but not near what I remember it. I thought maybe my palate had changed and I didn’t enjoy it as much anymore. As of today (9/8/20) I busted this one out of the cellar not expecting good results. This was just as good as I remember it, and I’ll choose to remember it that way. Foolproof, if you read this, please go back to this old recipe for this beer, it is one of my favorites of all time

This beer pours a hazy orange yellow with a rather small head with minimal lacing

The nose has heavy notes of sour funk and mango, with some lighter wheat notes

The taste is the best I’ve tried for a sour, despite my limited experience with sours. There are sour notes in the front end of the sip, with the mango coming towards the middle, with drying, non bitter hops finishing it off. There are other mild fruit flavors, such as orange and banana

Light, peppy carbonation allows this brew to go down quite easy

This easy drinking sour is my favorite thus far, and is great for warm summer nights. I will save a can or 2 to age a bit and see how they hold up

16oz can, media sample from the brewery.

Pours out a hazed orange straw hued brew, some lacing stays. Mango in the nose and on the palate with a kiss of tartness and a hint of funk. Mosaic hops and a herbaceous edge without any bitterness. Very well balanced and very easy to drink. Need to find more for the beach & back yard grilling days.
