So I’m a big fan of the Vango series, and I love that Foolproof is local and easy to get. Despite it being one of my early craft experiences, I have their Mango Vango in my top 10 of all time (maybe #6?) Anyhow, since my palate has evolved I am not as wowed by it, but it’s still a damn classic for me. I’m glad to see that there’s a gose in the series here, and it should be a nice beer to beat the humidity today
Pours a hazy pale gold with just a thin white cap that quickly reduces to a ring of bubbles and leaves no lacing
Not all that much going on in the nose here, a touch of salinity, tart lime, and the classic buttery (not diacetyl, it’s freshly canned) smooth sourness that’s present in every sour they make. Despite this, there are still sweeter notes of vanilla and coriander
The taste here is a bit more expressive, starting off with bright notes of lemon and lime. On the swallow, this becomes more interesting with notes of blood orange, vanilla, salinity, and a touch of wheat
A light body with mild carbonation leads to a super refreshing sour. Finishes mostly dry with a balanced tartness
This was pretty damn good, especially on a hot day. I wish I had picked up more. A solid gose and I could see it being a summer staple for me

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
