Put a little spice in your life with this multi-layered sour that is bursting with salted, crisp, cucumber flavors with a tantalizingly spicy finish from Scotch Bonnet peppers.

Canned 8/15/24
I had the OG Pickleodeon a few years back and didn’t like it very much, even by pickle/cucumber beer standards. However, I’m quite intrigued by this one and just had to pick up a can. I think peppers could be just what the base beer needs to elevate it a bit. Let’s crack it open and see what it’s all about
Pours a cloudy pale straw with a finger of soapy white head that quickly fades to a ring and leaves minimal lacing
The nose is rather gentle but what’s here is nice. I’m picking up on aromas of cucumber, habanero, crackery malt, lemon zest, raw grain, and honey
It has a bit more bite to it in taste but still remains relatively restrained. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting cucumber, sea salt, habanero, lemon juice, bready malt, honey, and white pepper. The swallow brings notes of cucumber, habanero, crackery malt, raw grain, honey, and light sea salt
A light body pairs with moderate carbonation, resulting in a crisp beer. Finishes bone dry and refreshing with a lingering heat
I don’t love this one, but it’s a huge improvement over the OG
