Canned 5/6/24
I’m drinking this beer alongside the watermelon variant that I picked up from the brewery. Mango Vango has gone from one of ny favorite beers to a disappointment and back to a pretty solid beer as it stands today. Hopefully these variants can spice up the series a bit
Pours a mostly clear yellow gold with 2 fingers of soapy white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing
This smells a tad sweeter than I’d like for a beer with guava but it’s still quite nice. I’m picking up on aromas of earthy guava, orange juice, pineapple, lemon juice, graham cracker, and light lime zest
It has a bit more bite to it in taste which helps since it’s rather simplistic. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting guava skin, lemon juice, lime zest, bready malt, pineapple juice, orange zest, and light wheat. The swallow brings notes of earthy guava, mango skin, crackery malt, lemon juice, papaya, light white pepper, and peach pit
A light medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a crisp beer. Finishes bone dry and refreshing
This doesn’t reach the heights of the OG Mango Vango, but this is very good, especially next to Watermelon Vango
