Canned 5/1/24
I’m drinking this beer alongside the guava variant that I picked up from the brewery. Mango Vango has gone from one of ny favorite beers to a disappointment and back to a pretty solid beer as it stands today. Hopefully these variants can spice up the series a bit
Pours a mostly clear yellow gold with 2 fingers of soapy white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing
This is quite sweet in the nose and a touch artificial. I’m picking up on aromas of watermelon candy, bready malt, honey, raw grain, and lemon zest
Just like its cousin this one is helped by some extra tart punch in taste, though this still isn’t as good. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting watermelon candy, lemon juice, crackery malt, lime zest, white peach, light honey, and earthy wheat. The swallow brings notes of watermelon candy, bready malt, lemon juice, raw grain, honey, and light vanilla
A light medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a crisp beer. Finishes mostly dry and refreshing
It’s too bad, this one drinks well but is held back by an artificial aroma and bland taste. Still, not too bad
