Definitely not the worst adjunct lager enjoyed this past week in Vietnam! Pours a pale golden colour with an initially impressive white head that disappears quickly. Continues to maintain a steady stream of fine bubbles.

Grainy and sweet aroma belies the beer's adjunct nature, but I believe it contains genuine malted barley as well. Crisp and clear taste has no depth or complexity, and absolutely no aftertaste. A mild bitterness indicates proximity to a hop at some point, but a very mild and easy drinking lager that many (macro/lager drinkers) might enjoy.

Bought in Singapore.
Adjuncty, made with rice? Thin flavour, seems under-hopped and over-carbonated. Comes across as a beer designed to be cheap to brew hence retailers in $$ countries like Singapore can still sell relatively reasonably (relatively speaking, locally) and make a margin on.
Bought out of curiosity, but I'd rather drink basic 330's of Carlsberg or Heineken than have this one again.

The best of the 3 macros I tried in Saigon, August 13th, 2017. It had more hints of straw, molasses and overall tasted the most like a German beer.

500ml pull-tab can purchased at a Circle K in Saigon. No ABV on the label.

Aroma of grain and faded pils malts, plus maybe old grass. Very light.

Taste is of corn adjunct and cheap malts/x-row barley. One-dimensional. Metallic off-flavour.

Texture is smooth, wet, overcarbonated, crisp, somewhat refreshing, and light-bodied. Not oily, gushed, astringent, harsh, hot, boozy, or rough.

Drinkable but forgettable. Not the worst Vietnamese beer, but nevertheless it's schlock. I've had worse in the style. At least it's not watery...

Can from a little shop in Can Tho.

A - Pours light golden with a fizzy and soapy 2 finger white head. Bright. Good carbonation coming up. Spotty lace and a film of retention.

S - Honey, graininess. Sweet grain is there. Not adjuncty, but a little mild.

T - Honey again, lot's of biscuity malt, sweet grain, and a mild hop. Not awful.

M - Good carbonation, slightly lighter than medium finish, clean dry finish.

O/D - Didn't expect this to be as cleanly made as it was. Not by any means a great lager, but it's well put together and avoids any trace of offensive adjunct qualities. A solid drinker in Vietnam.
