Another great beer from Old Town. I really like IPAs and this one is good. Haven't had anything from this brewery in 5 or 6 years, I really need to get back seeing that all their beers are great.

16oz can. Bottom date stamp reads 'CANNED ON 09/27/24'. Can is marked 5.8%ABV. Labeled as a 'WEST COAST PALE'.
Mostly clear, but with a slight haze. Pale gold colored body. One finger of fizzy white head, but this retreats to small islands and a ring. Scattered small lacing spots.
Aroma of orange, pineapple, and grass.
Taste is grassy, weedy, and dank. Flavors of orange, tangerine, lemongrass, and pine resin. Late blueberry in the aftertaste.
More than medium mouthfeel. Bright and hoppy. Pleasant bitterness level. Okay carbonation.
Pleasant enough for style. Close to a buttery finish.

Served on tap into a nonic glass.
A- Poured a pale golden color, semi-hazy with soapy white head that left chunky lace.
S- Some grapefruit and fruity hops and sweet buttery and bready malt notes.
T- Big buttery and sweet bready notes, grapefruit hop notes with moderate bitterness. Not too flavorful overall though.
M- Lighter bodied and watery, some prickly carbonation.
O- A very old school American IPA but not as flavorful as many others in the style but still drinkable.

On tap at the brewpub last night. 65 IBUs.
Pouring a mildly hazy light yellow with a dense, white head with decent retention and lacing. This beer is surprisingly light in color. The nose blew me away. Big, bright tropical fruit notes (Simcoe and Citra?) with a mildly perfumey character as well. There's citrus as well as some papaya and a little mango. The palate opens with a moderate bitterness followed by a pretty huge hop hop flavor. The blend of fruity hops with the mild citrus acidity is quenching and incredibly refreshing. The malt character is minimal, with just a hint of dough which works well with the hop profile. Drying, bitter and with just a touch of grassiniess on the finish, this beer is light in body, moderately carbonated and refreshing. Highly recommended, especially if you are in the area.
To my palate, when Simcoes are used exclusively, the beer develops a slightly mineral-like character (I've found this in Row 2/ Hill 56 and Zombie Dust as well as others). This beer doesn't have that character at all, making me all the more impressed.
