A- Pours something of a garnet color with a one and a half off white color head. Retention is decent with some lacing.
S- Smell is caramel, a bit of toast, somewhat sweet but nice and balanced overall. The rye is noticable with some characteristic spicy notes, but stays subdued.
T- There is some sweetness up front with caramel and toast. The rye comes through in the finish, with some spicy notes. The finish is long and this is where the rye shows up.
M- Medium-full body for a self described mild. Carbonation is smooth and low,
O- A pretty easy drinking beer. Not particularly unique among rye beer, but enjoyable.
