Poured from 750ml crowler into glass. Canned date marked on label is 'September 6, 2017'.
Hazy, orange colored body. White head settles to interrupted cap. Scattered lacing on glass.
Aroma is subdued, with grapefruit, biscuit, lactose sweetness.
Taste is slightly bitter grapefruit, mixed with rind, sweet lactose, and malt background. Slightly spicy.
Coating mouth feel.
A milk shake IPA that is less sweet than most, but balanced in bitterness

750ml crowler, served in a snifter glass. Slightly hazy golden-copper body, two finger white head, nice retention that isn't too long, good lacing. Smell is grapefruit juice, zest, a bit of grainy malt, crackers, more grapefruit, citrus. Flavour follows, hefty grapefruit juice but in more of a authentic grapefruit flavour rather than a hoppy grapefruit judging from the relative lack of resin, good citrus and a nice crackery malt presence; slightly grainy evoking barley. Good body, nice mouthfeel with a good carbonation that peters out over time, slight bitterness but not particularly bitter; perhaps from the lactose sweetness. Overall, a tasty grapefruit-forward IPA, while it didn't break any new paradigm, was a very tasty IPA in of itself.
