Tangerine Milkshake IPA

not sure if this is different at all from the tangerine dream, but it was presented to me like this, really tasty stuff, better refined than a lot of these are, not overdone on the lactose, not desserty and full of vanilla and yellow cake at all, and with a very natural tangerine profile that works super well with all the dry hops on this. orange and hazy in appearance from the tap, with a rich later of white head on top and with great retention. it smells like fresh juiced tangerine, a mosaic type hop, pineapple and pine both, fresh and easy though, low bitterness for an ipa and with a cool starchy grain base and lots of creamy body. the lactose actually unites everything rather than distracting from the hops, not too sweet at all, and calling up some of the body and cereal character from the grain. juicy orange and the hops at the end, creamsicle, fluffy feeling and active and fresh, and better than almost any other milkshake type ipa i have had, the tangerine keeps it honest, and its pretty mellow overall, i could have a couple of these which is odd for me in this style. really well done.
