looks to me like this beer might change a little bit from batch to batch, in terms of final abv and in terms of the hops used, but i could be wrong. its tricky that so few beers these guys make are named, most of them are just called by the style, i think it creates confusion, but who cares, this beer is really good. a little sweet and a little boozy, but i think both of those elements serve to bring out the most from the hops, so its not too much for me. i get heavy pineapple and peach here, some more familiar citrus too, and enough pithy bitterness to balance. not quite all the way clear in the glass, and with an inch of rising white head on it from the tap. aroma is fruity, but not as intense as the flavor for me, wrapped up in a little honey sweetness from the pale malt but not finishing overly sugary or anything. good depth of flavors as well as textures, i like the oils contributed by the hops and the little bit of booze burn on it. overall a solid example of the style, a good showcase of what a couple of dry hoppings can do for a beer like this. these guys continue to be one of the best in minnesota no matter what they make!
