Bottle #82. 2016 bottle.
Khaki head. Clear caramel copper color.
My buddy described this as a Costco Alpine Great. It’s actually decent. Nice whiskey notes, vanilla, caramel, toffee, red apples, figs. Smooth, warming. Really solid.

750ml bottle. Bottle #451 from this 2016 barrel aged series.
Clear, deep amber colored body. One finger of light beige colored head. Leaves big patterns of lacing.
Aroma of bourbon barrel, with dark fruit and piney hops.
Taste of semi sweet dark fruits, caramel, and piney hops. Bourbon barrel is there but not as prominent as in the smell.
Thicker than medium mouth feel, with smooth texture. Very good carbonation.
A mature barleywine that is full of flavor and very smooth on the palate. The end is rather abrupt, which is a slight detraction.
