Poured from 750ml bottle purchased 10/14/21 from brewery. Pours a darker yellow/amber like a GOOD IPA (not hazy, not pale). Modest white head (1/2 inch), which stays for a while. Aroma of pumpkin and spices, little rum, very smooth. The taste is a fabulous non-aggressive blend of pumpkin and associated spices - sooo drinkable. Again, little actual rum flavor, although it likely leads to the smoothness and balance. This reminds me some of a great spiced apple cider. Not really what I was expecting. But highly enjoyable and the ABV is well-hidden. I one more aging...yum. 12/13 21
2/8/22 Revisit...The rum comes through more (smoothly), this tastes much like a barleywine with rye, rum and other spices. Flavors are subtle and that is good here. As it warms, these flavors blend and are better than the sum. A special ale when stouts and IPAs are not called for. I wish I had more.
