This is my first rum barrel aged stout but I have had some rum barrel aged whiskey/rye. I wasn’t a fan of the rum aged rye whiskey I had and beer was kind of the same but a little better. Not as heavy on the mouthfeel as other barrel aged stouts. The fruity notes at the end were interesting but just not my jam on a darker beer.
