one of the better and more interesting gose types i have had in awhile, i love these guys, they just keep impressing me each time i find one of their beers. this one is mostly organic which is awesome, lists rye malt as one of the ingredients which is uncommon in this style, and pours with some of the most amazing clarity i have seen in any beer, especially a gose. it looks like a pilsener, or better yet champagne, with radiant crystal clarity and a rising white head with a ton of fast paced carbonation, its gorgeous until the bottom inch or so of the bottle where i let all the sediment cloud it up, i like the funk, and will not deprive myself of it in service of clarity. the aroma shows some interesting funk, seems as bretty as it does bacterial, tangy enough to make my mouth water a little bit, but not overly sour at all. i get coriander seed right away too, less of the salt and minerals, interesting yeast complexion though for sure. the flavor is great, fresh and bright, with more of the salt evident here, cool with the bretty element as well, just awesome. very refreshing and drinkable with all the high level carbonation and light wheat malt underneath, i dont taste much from the rye, but this is indescribably more complex than most of what else is out there in the style, and its beautifully well refined too. i just love these guys, and even in a simple style like this, they have found a way to make it different enough to stand out. expert quality beer, i need more!

A: The beer is slightly hazy pale yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger and a half high bright white head that gradually died down but left a thin head covering the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of sour citrus are present in the nose—lemons seem to stand out in particular.
T: The taste follows the smell, having sour flavors of lemons and limes; these flavors really linger on through the finish. There are also some hints of saltiness.
M: It feels light-bodied and somewhat tart on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very refreshing and would be perfect for a hot summer day.
