Pours black with some dark red hues. Head is tan with little retention and lacing.
The nose is of sweet chocolate and coffee with a bit of cream.
The taste has coffee up front with that classic coffee bitter/sourness. There is chocolate and grains all with some sweetness.
The mouthfeel is a bit light. Smooth enough with mild carbonation.

L- Pours a beautiful looking, dark, heavy beer with a half-finger foamy head. Almost looks nitro-infused. Streams of carbonation rise hugging the sides of this beer, making this beer extremely interesting appearance wise.
S- I get salty, briny, umami, soy sauce, oats, dark fruit, and dark chocolate aromas.Minimal yet distinct. Not much oatmeal though.
T- This is where this beer falls a little flat. I get a slight bitterness from roasted malts, which resembles dark chocolate, but that is about it. Not much of a creamy oatmeal presence.
F- Creamy, with a surprisingly dry finish.
O- Great look, good smell, alright taste, alright mouth feel makes for an overall decent beer. It's just kind of weird. I'm not a huge fan of it, but I don't hate it, and can respect it. This beer is kind of hit or miss from person to person I guess. But all in all, it isn't an oatmeal stout. At least it doesn't seem like it to me.
Try it?

Has the classic oatmeal stout look with a jet-black body and tan head. Aromas are dark chocolate and stone fruit.
Taste is heavy on the dark chocolate and especially on the stone fruit. Nothing creamy to this, and I expect a milk stout to have a pretty strong creamy characteristic.
This is a pretty good beer, but it misses the style, IMHO.
