100 IBUs -This annual release is drink fresh hop war in liquid form. MEGA; as in ridiculous amount of luscious sticky hops that were sacrificed repetitively to create violently complex flavor. DANK; as in juicy aromatic notes that are chased by oozy residual hop oil that coats your tongue. MUST DRINK FRESH!

I've had the '15 &'16, didn't realize they were all different. Very strong hop flavor, but not overly bitter. It tastes heavy, very dank almost like a barrel aged. Rated 8-16-2018 100 IBUs

Dark gold body, clear; excellent carbonation; decent head, white, frothy, sticky small patches and fingers of foam on the glass. Big resinous nose; pine. Huge malt base taste with a bold, vibrant hop bitterness; mild caramel; pine resin; lightly boozy. Heavy body; coarse on the palate; sticky and dry.
This is a bold imperial India pale, classic in its west coast styling. The taste and mouthfeel make up the highlights of this beer, rich and vibrant. Dank, indeed!
Pouring temperature: 42 °F; canning data: DATE OF GENESIS: 4.20

I grew up at 420 W Walnut St & my mother still owns the family home so I try to slip by every year on 4-20 Day for a small celebration. This year was extra-special, being 4-20-2020 Day so I brought several beers instead of the usual single of Lagunitas' The Waldos' Special Ale, including this one from Tavour, which recently resurfaced.

I Pop!ped the cap while in the kitchen of Jerry's 420 House of Pleasure. I followed that with a slow, gentle C-Line pour into the awaiting glass. I got a brief finger of soapy, foamy, rocky, bone-white head with minimal retention, quickly falling away to wisps. Color was a slightly-hazy Amber (SRM= > 7, < 9). Nose was highly citrusy with an orange-grapefruit quality with pine and naughty Simcoe cattiness as well as a creeping biscuity maltiness. Mouthfeel was full & creamy, like a dollop had been scooped into my mouth & onto my tongue. Taste has lost none of its measured 100 IBU bitterness, scuttling around in my mouth like a pinball - here some pine, there some citrus, now Simcoe the kitty doing her naughty catty business, finally, a white-oak woodiness. All of this accompanied by an unshakeable biscuity dance partner. Phew! The ABV was not being shy, either. I was getting some serious heat with every hit, I mean, sip! I had missed several of that day's nap times as the result of a much-needed grocery errand as well as this celebration & I was really starting to feel it. Finish was dry, but mellow. The bitterness did not linger, making for a very pleasant drink. Phew! Time to head home for a lay-down. YMMV.

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a Speiglau hefeweizen glass.
Look is a relatively clear gold with amber highlights and a thin yellow head.
Aroma is super dank herbal hops.
Taste is super bitter herbal hops, lots of intense dank and grassy notes.
Absolutely delicious.
