Rated 1/26/2020. Don't remember too much about this beer other than the vanilla flavor from the fresh oak barrels and mild hop taste. Good Porter, with a strong ABV. Rated 9-10-2023

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing opaque black in the glass with a thin brown head that dissipates to patches with light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, molasses, cocoa and a little oaky vanilla; boozy. Flavor is dark toasted malt, cocoa, oaky vanilla, hints of plums; woody astringency in the finish. Medium bodied with light creaminess and sharp carbonation. A bold imperial porter with distinct oak barrelling characters. The malt depth is a bit thin, leaving the woodiness a bit stark in the finish for my taste. Oaky.
